Bathing

Scania (Skåne) is the perfect county for bathing with about 400 kilometres of beach. It is surrounded on three sides by sea: the Kattegat, the Sound and the Baltic Sea. The coastal waters are usually shallow and there are mostly sandy beaches. From us it is

Fishing and Boat Trips

Try your luck as a fisherman in both salt and fresh water. We have fantastic angling in the vicinity. Just a 3-minute drive from here there are the rivers Saxån and Braån with large perch, pike, roach, eel, salmon trout etc. A one-day fishing permit costs 30 SEK. If you would like to try your luck as a fisherman on the Sound there are trips from Borstahusen harbour with the boat La 137 or from Landskrona with M/v Lilly and M/v Bris.

Knutstorp Castle (private) - 3 km east of Kågeröd. This castle goes back to the 14th century. The great astronomer Tycho Brahe was born here in 1546. The castle is now owned and inhabited by the Wachtmeister family. Please contact the tourist information office in Svalöv for information on guided tours.
Trolleholm Manor House (private) - about 20 km to the east of Svalöv. This manor house is from the 16th century. Parts of the park and garden with 500 rhododendron bushes may be visited daily until sunset. There is also a gazebo dating from the 18th century.
Trollenäs Manor House - centrally located about 10 min. from Eslöv. Baron Nils Trolle and his wife have opened Trollenäs Manor House to the public. Guided tours are offered of the house. In the park beside the beautiful mediaeval church there is a play area as well as an area for playing boules.
Sofiero Palace and Gardens - Gustav VI Adolf’s summer palace. A blossoming oasis on the outskirts of Helsingborg with exhibitions, activities and events.

Landskrona - 10 min. by car

In Landskrona there is the Citadel from the mid 16th century. Concerts, cultural and open-air activities are held here. The Citadel allotment-gardens are also nearby, one of the country’s oldest allotment-garden areas open to the public. We recommend Landskrona Museum on Kasernplan to families with children, also Karlslunds Park in the northern part of Landskrona, a small zoo with Swedish breeds of e.g. pigs, goats and rabbits as well as a play area in a natural environment. There is also Karlslund adventure complex with outdoor and indoor swimming pools, a family pool with waterslides, waterfalls, jacuzzis, climbing walls etc.

Borstahusen and Ålabodarna
To the north there is Borstahusen, a picturesque fishing village renowned for bathing guests, golf and its golf museum. If you continue over the beautiful Glumslöv hills to Glumslöv and turn off towards Ålabodarna, you will come to a little gem of a fishing village in a somewhat secluded location.
Christer Lindarw and Lars Flinckman were the main actors in the popular drag show After Dark during the 80’s. Lars has now opened a charming café and given it a personal touch. Flinckman’s Café has become well-visited and popular. Flinckman’s special coffee and home-made apple cake can be warmly recommended.

Municipality of Svalöv

We belong to the municipality of Svalöv, which has a lot to offer, e.g. the National Park on the Söderåsen ridge with Odensjön lake, Nackarpsdalen valley, Kopparhatten and Skäralid.
